10th Annual "Troops in the Spotlight" There are not enough words to thank everyone who participated in the 10th annual Troops in the Spotlight. The support shown for our deployed troops, our veterans, our wounded soldiers and our fallen heroes was overwhelming. We set records for the amount of people in attendance, the monetary donations received, the number of items donated and even the number of people attending the closing ceremony.

It was awesome to be part of an event where ones age, race, religion, political views, social status, etc did not matter. We came together as Americans with the common goal of supporting our military both past and present; and honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country. Together we can do amazing things!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 6th annual Canal Run for the Troops. It was an amazing day (even though the weather was not the best but at least it did not rain). I have to share one, we had a women who ran the 5K yesterday (sorry I do not remember her name) her husband is deployed in Afghanistan. While she was running yesterday, he was running a 5k in Afghanistan at the same time. How cool is that!!!
A special thank you to all of our volunteers, you all did a fantastic job. We hope to mail another 200 care packages in the next few weeks. It was an amazing sight to look around the room and see everyone from infants to 93 years young, all different races, religions, political parties, different incomes and social statuses come together with one common goal...to honor and support our deployed men and women for their service to our country.
Thank you for donating supplies, making a monetary donation, signing Christmas Cards, waiting in line to pack a candy, toiletry or snack bag, writing out custom forms, packing and unpacking the truck but most of all thank you for giving your time to show our troops they are not forgotten especially during the holidays.
