I want to thank you for the Christmas care package you put together and sent out his way
over the holidays. There were all kinds of useful things inside of it, and it helped keep our minds
off of Iraq for a little while. This was the second package we have received from you since arriving in August,
and both of them were top notch care packages. Your website and organization do a lot for
all of us deployed overseas, and is greatly appreciated. It’s nice to see the support we get from people
back in the states, and some simple things from stateside helps us pass the time. None the less,
keep doing what you’re doing, it’s not overlooked nor underappreciated. Sincerely, SSgt. Doyon Thank you for all the support you have given us with our deployment here in Kuwait. We especially Appreciate the cards and packages you have sent, and the encouragement you have shared wit h us. Your backing has been invaluable to us during this period. I will be leaving here soon, and have provided the name of my replacement, his address is the same as mine. Again, we thank you so much. We greatly appreciate your generosity. Sincerely, CMSgt. Groeneveld Thank you for the care package with the goodies and the letters from students from all over the U.S. It was very thoughtful of you to send care packages to the Troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. We Appreciate the support from everyone back in the states… CPT Ashton Thanks for the package I received this Christmas. I didn’t get much this year and your package really made my day. This is my second rotation here and it is people like you that make this a lot more bearable. Thanks again, CMS Colton I would like to thank you very much for the care package. It is nice to know that even being so far away from our families and friends that people still go out of their way to care for all of us our here. It means a lot not just to me but all of my friends that are taking up their part in the War on Terror. Right now I have friends stationed all over the middle east and we all have been blessed by the support of everyone sending us care packages. It always feels good to get something from your families and friends but it always seems more of a pleasant surprise when it is from someone you never met. It is these little things that help many of us push through the day, just knowing someone cares helps out a lot. Thank you again. I know you have brought smiles to many of the troops over here. Keep up the good work. TSgt. A. Fantasis, Jr. I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for the package that you sent to me. I have shared the contents with the members of my team of more than 20 medical personnel and we are all grateful for The package. We are here to help the Afghan people rebuild their medical system and it was surely a great surprise to get your package. It reinforces the fact that we are here for wonderful Americans like You. Having a little taste of Cape Cod, and all the wonderful things you sent made us all feel more appreciated by the folks back home. You are the reason we keep going on, you and your group are Great Americans and are making a big impact on the morale of our troops. Keep up the great works and Thanks again. CDR Williams Just a quick note to let you know that one of your care packages arrived safe and sound. It brought smiles and joy to all of us here in Kabul, Afghanistan. We shall be in touch with you in the future. God Bless you and all those who stand by and assist you with your heart felt efforts – it does make a difference….if only you knew. Thank you and best wishes, LCDR A. Carter I got your care package the other day. Thanks so much for everything. I was able to share everything with the rest of the guys and everyone really appreciated it. We like the letters and the DVD too. Getting things from back home is a real morale boost, so keep up the good work. It makes a lot of people happy. Sincerely, 1Lt. Gregg S. First off I would like to thank you all personally for what you do. Also the rest of my team here would like to thank you for the goodies you sent and for what you guys are doing for all the soldiers out here. It is really good to see there are people like you doing rather than just saying! It makes a huge difference and from us all "keep up the good work" You are the reason we fight. Again Thank You so much and keep up the amazing work you do. God Bless America. SPC J. Heste I'm writing this from my hooch her in Baghdad, Iraq. It is the beginning of February and my tour here is winding down. It has been quite an eventful past few months, and while it wasn't always easy, I can tell you that is has certainly be worthwhile. It's hard to explain just how much your support means to all of us over here. While your packages consistently stacked up as some of the best we've seen, even more important is the thought behind them. It is people like you who are the heartbeat of our great nation. Know that your work at home is not in vain, and that the Sailors, Soldiers, Marines and Airman you're supporting truly do appreciate and need all that you do. God Bless you, and keep up the great work. You're our heros. Respectfully, 1Lt. Benjamin D. USAF My company
recently had a Christmas Party and I noticed all these little holiday care
packages that said from Cape Cod Cares for the Troops. Being from Falmouth
it was nice to see something so close to home out here in Mosul, Iraq.
Thanks for your caring. I wanted to
take a few minutes and express my personal thanks to all you you for taking the
time and sending Christmas Care Packages to us soldiers here in Iraq. I
can't put into works how much this means to me. You are an inspiration to
us all and we are overwhelmed by your support. I want also to tell you
that I am as proud of you, as I am our great nation. It's the people like
you that make being here less a burden. You have me at a slight
disadvantage because I'm not sure how your received my name and address. but I
am grateful that you did. This is the first time in many years that I've
had to leave my family and friends behind to serve, an honor I will always
remember. I believe we are doing the right thing by being here, regardless
of what the media may say. We are a great country because we show
compassion for others, and we value our freedom. I am reminded of this
when people like you take the time to do something as admirable as what
you've done for me. Thank you once again, and on behalf of my friends and
extended family here I'd like to wish you all a very happy and Blessed New Year.
May the Lord Bless and keep you always in his loving care. Thank you so
much for the time and effort you take to support the Soldiers. The games
and DVD's are great and will go in our recreation room. I appreciate all
that you do. We will pass out all of the individual gift bags at our
Christmas Party. Thank you again.
Thank you for what you do. Being deployed is a tough time,
being away from home, family and loved ones. When we receive
mail from home it brightens our Week, and every little thing
is cherished. I was lucky to receive one of your care packages,
and all I can say is thank you. I shared it's contents with my
platoon, and we are all grateful. They are all amazed at what
you do, and very proud that you would think of us while we are
away from home. Thank you and keep up the good work. |
I am a 1st Lt. In the USMC. You have no idea how good it makes
"us" feel over here to know there are Americans like YOU who
feel the way you do. As an Officer of Marines, it is my
responsibility to look out for the morale and welfare of the
troops. Seeing the look on their faces when they receive a
care package or letter from a random patriot back home is
absolutely priceless. 1st Lt. David |
Thank you very much for everything you sent, everything
was put to good use. The support from back home is greatly
appreciated and it strengthens our resolve. We proudly
serve our country and the Marine Corps because we think
It is very important for people around the world to enjoy
freedom and democracy. We are here to help them in their
process and fight the terrorist that want to stop Them.
Keep up the good work and thank you for your support.
God Bless the United States of America. Semper Fi! SSgt. A. F. |
I am a Staff Sergeant with the Massachusetts Air National
Guard. Today I received a care package from your
organization. I can tell you it was the highlight of
my day. I have served in the military full and part
time for over 20 years and must admit if it were not
for our families and organizations like yours there
would be Soldiers, Sailors and Marines that never
received a letter let alone a care package. I along
with the men I serve with salute you. It is easier
for us to serve here knowing that we are not forgotten.
We are merely doing the job that needs to be done. SSgt Sullivan |
We received your care package and are very grateful.
I am impressed that you started this non-profit
organization. So few bother to do anything beyond
say that they support the troops, but you really
put your money where your mouth is.The care package
that you sent lasted less than 5 minutes. Our PX
only has a basic selection of items which makes
packages from the states a prized commodity.
I wish you and your organization good health and
fortune. Thank you for your support.
It is greatly appreciated. SPC Alan C. |
I received a care package from you and your organization today.
I went to your web page to check out your organization and all
your efforts brought a tear to my eye. To see such a young
American like yourself doing so much for people who you have
not even met truly defines what patriotism is. Your efforts
clearly define of the "Army Values" that I live by everyday:
Selfless Service… Again, a heartfelt thanks for the care package.
One of the Army's "Warrior Ethos" is " I will never quit!"
I am sure your dedication and drive will remain until all of
my fellow soldiers, sailors, airman and marines are home. Godspeed. SPC J.D. |
I am a Command Sergeant Major and I wanted to let you know that
I received you care package today. What a noble cause you have
at such a young age. Not that we want or expect care packages
but I wish everyone carried your spirit and love for your country
as you do. I can certainly tell you that when our soldiers receive
care packages, it is just like Christmas for them. With all the
letters and drawings that children write or color has an uplifting
impact on our troops and I can not thank you and your friends
enough for that…I want to thank everyone who wrote something
in your care package and I will do my best t hopefully not leave
anyone off:First, I much thank you Dylan, your family, Torri,
JD and Jaime. Next: Cody, Samantha King, Daniel, Lillian
Brightman, Tudi, Haley, Ariel, Jared, Chris & Tom.
Thank you again for all you do, not only for my troops
but for all the others that you have put a smile on their
face, you are the heart of what America is, a kind,
caring and giving nation. |

My MAJ. just showed me the care package he just received from you.
I was humbled. We have been here for approximately 3 months and have received many
care packages from our families and friends, but yours was different and special.
You see, my wife and I have been noticing that the “Support Our Troops” spirit has
greatly diminished over the past couple years. It makes me happy and proud to see
you and your organization at work. You are truly appreciated. I know that I speak
for all the soldiers in Iraq when I say that your efforts are noticed and spoken
of at all levels. As I live close to you, in Portsmouth, RI, it makes me feel there
is still “home-town” support for our mission here.
Don’t ever lose your drive to support troops overseas as we attempt to spread peace and
democracy. You are a part of us and our mission. Thank you. Most sincerely, CAPT. Jeffrey K. |

Dear Dylan,
Where do I begin trying to describe the feelings we felt when we opened
your care package with great excitement today. Your family is a true
example of why we love America, and Americans. Thank you so much for all
you do. You have gone above and beyond your call of duty as citizens
and we are forever grateful for you. Thank you for the wonderful treats.
Your package was enjoyed by several people and we are eternally grateful for
you. Thank you so much for everything. If there is anything we can do for
you please let us know. With deep appreciation, Sgt. James M. |

Dear Cape Cod for the Troops foundation,
Hello. How are you doing? I wanted to send an email to you,
and say thank you for your support, while we are deployed in operation Iraqi Freedom.
I have been sharing the boxes of goodies, that you have generously sent to my platoon.
I also want you to know, that people like you really do make military personal
feel really good about the jobs they do and in general... themselves.
Being deployed especially in a warzone, is hard, but nice, caring,
and generous people like yourself back at home, are making it easier,
and making our morale better while we are deployed. My entire platoon wishes
to thank you, and wishes you and your family the best for your holiday season. Thank you again, Lcpl. BRIAN |

I am here in Iraq serving with the 101st Airborne Division. I serve with Ist Brigade out of Kirkuk, Iraq.
Unfortunately I don't actually serve in Kirkuk, I'm at one of the smaller foreward operating bases in the area.
Having luxuries out here is a very big deal. Unlike a lot of soldiers here, I have a wife and children
at home sending me letters and their prayers. I recieved one of your care packages and saw how well they
went over with the guys. I don't know if many of the soldiers here can take the time to thank you, so I will for all of us.
On behalf of all the guys out here, as well as our families back home, thanks for caring.
It is easy to forget people care about us out here. Thank you.

Having stumbled across your website from a newspaper article in the base newspaper of my deployed location
it was an awesome feeling to see the people back home going out of their way way to help US... I wanted to
personally thank you and let you know that your actions do make a difference for there is no greater feeling
than knowing fellow Americans want to make sure that my fellow troops and I are OK. It is a powerful reminder
on why we do this job without hesitation and with dedication. Thanks for the reminder!
Senior Airman Rick L. |

I was one of the recipients of your wonderful care packages! I want to thank you for your kindness and hard work.
Your package brought so much joy to me and the other memebers of my unit. For one guy, it was the first box he
got from home. It meant a lot to him. Thank you for caring so much about us. J.F. |
|
I want to tell you that we received your generous package. I have passed it out to soldier that has not received
any mail in our over two month deployment. I can say that I know you are making a difference in soldiers lives.
This is my second time over here and the support we are receiving this time is very encouraging. It is very hard
to be away from loved ones and the land that we call home. Mail day is very special to all of us.It only comes
three times a week and know that your package was welcome and greatly appreciated. Proudly serving, CPT P. R. |

Hello Dylan, Thank you so much for your care package. I was really busy on Saturday when it came in so I couldn't open it until last night after work. It was so nice to see a package from people I don't even know and may never meet. Yet, you did so because I'm in the military, and serving our country. MSGT Christopher A. |
|
Thank you so much for the package. We all really appreciate the support from back home.
You dont know what it means to us. Thank you so much. Sgt. Miller |
|
Thank you SO much for the package and your words of support and care! Being out here and having been away
from my wife and 2 year old son for eight monthes, getting that package really made my day. It is good to
know that people care what we are doing here, and that you would take the time to help is incredible. What a
blessing! Please know that I am deeply thankful as are all the troops out here. Your thoughtfulness means a
lot to all of us. Keep up the good work, you should all be proud of yourselves for your service
to our great country. Thank You, SSgt. Paul M. |

Thank you for all the work you are doing for all those soldiers, sailors and airman that are deployed here in the Middle East. |
Thank you very much for the neat care package you sent us. Somethimes it seems we are forgotten
over here but getting your package was like Christmas morning! We all shared the package, that is all
the men and women who work with me here, and it was a super treat. Thanks again for caring! Lt. Col. Charles G. |
|
I want to personally thank you for supporting us and starting an organization
like Cape Cod Cares for our Troops. We appreciate it more than you will know. SSgt. Tom L. |

Thank you so much for your care package. It really made me feel like someone special.
Here in Iraq, there are six of us on my team and I shared with them. They could not
believe it was sent by a group of kids. Keep up the good work and thanks again for everything! SFC. E. J. |
