Vets Fish P-Town

On Saturday June 5th, Cape Cod Cares for the Troops was proud to partner
with Vets Fish P-town to provide a day of  fun and fishing for our Veterans and their families,
our Wounded Warriors, our Gold Star families and the families of those currently serving
in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

 

 

Monument Beach Sportsman's Club

On Friday June 4th the Monument Beach Sportsman's Club in Bourne
provided a great day at the range for Wounded Warrior units from VA and PA.
Events included the Riffle Range, Pistol Range, Archery, and Trapshooting.
Thank you to everyone at the Monument Beach Sportsman's Club.

6th Annual "Troops in the Spotlight"

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 6th Annual Troops in the Spotlight.
Over $24, 000. was raised and boxes & boxes of items were donated for care packages.
Thank you Kevin Matthews from WCOD, Representative Jeff Perry, Meghan Trainor, Suzanne Brosnan,
George Meservey and General Jimmy Dishner for participating in the Opening/Closing Ceremonies.
A special thank you to all of our military members who stood on the stage in one hour shifts for
24 hours.  You're our inspiration.

Fairfax County 911 Dispatch Center 
Tuesday April 20th, 2010

They  were presented a plaque for their support.
Over the last couple of years they have presented
Cape Cod Cares for the Troops over $5,000.00!

Tuesday April 20th, 2010

Dylan speaks with a group of soldiers from the Wounded Warrior transition
unit and receives a standing ovation from the unit members.

They are an amazing group of soldiers who are working hard to over come
injuries they received while serving in Iraq and afghanistan.

 

"OPERATION CAMO SHAM"
~ April 12th ~
Saint Pius X School in Yarmouth, held "Operation Camo Sham" event for the troops.
Students grades 5-8 presented Dylan with 8 boxes of items they collected needed in care packages!

 

 

8,000th Care Package Sent
March 30th, 2010

The 8000th care package was sent to 1st Sgt. Patrick Burke of Yarmouth.
Dylan is joined by SSgt Wendy Burke and her boys. 

They added a few items to the care package that their dad had requested
1st Sgt Patrick Burke is serving a one year deployment in Afghanistan.

Harwich Post Office employee Alex is processing the 8000th care package.
All 8000 care packages have been sent from the Harwich Post Office.

Brewster Brownie Troop # 80724
March 8th, 2010

Brewster Brownies brought over 6 cases of cookies for care packages
and wrote support letters to be included in those care packages to the troops.
